So I just signed up for a new budgeting solution and it wanted me to download an app onto my phone…
Ummm… no, I don’t think I will. Banking on your phone is, IMO, a very horrible idea. This might sound boomer of me to say, but I don’t really use apps in general on my phone. Beyond the stock Apple apps that come with my iPhone (and I removed a good chunk of these apps too fwiw), I only really have the following on my phone:
A couple of health apps to track things like weight lifting workouts, stress, and addictions
Discord, Telegram, Teams, and Signal
Google Drive
A couple of games
And that’s it honestly. Everything else is stock Apple shit or been swapped. Like I swapped Apple Calendar and Apple Mail for Google Calendar and Gmail.
I refuse to use apps on my phone. And honestly, if it wasn’t for the camera and having the ability to access the internet so easily on the go, I would literally just be using a flip phone. Only reason I’m considering upgrading to an iPhone Pro is for the camera. That’s it. No other reason. Most things I prefer to do on my desktop or laptop.
And, fwiw, most apps are just website front ends that are shittier than the website itself.
